The Raging Storm

Photo Image: Courtesy of Willow's Magpie

Every Man for Himself

What was shaping up
What was happening?
What's the panic?

Pandemonium!
We were inundated
Quick, to the fore

The wind was lashing
Waves ten storeys high
The sails fluttered
Torn to bits
It was no match
The winds clawed and lashed
The boat bobbing
Like a cork
Tossed about
In the angry sea

A raging storm
At its worst
Nature against man
The ladies
Someone shouted
Throw them the lifebelts
Give them a lifeline
They would not survive

It was futile
All would not survive!
